Section 43 of the W.P.Act 1972, The declaration of Wildlife Stock Rules 2003,

The Kerala Captive Elephants management Rules 2003 and a number of Court

verdicts clearly prohibits the purchase or sale of captive elephants after 2003.

You could read such news only from Kerala where members from the august

lawmaking body, Govt.officials and the district S.P.C.A. 'grace' the HAPPY

BIRTHDAY of a poor elephant calf whose mother was illegally bought and brought

to Kerala to a life of never ending agony and chains.
