Yesterday ullahannan killed 34 dogs.

Kottayam: the dogs that fooled ullahannan fell into his trap. Not 1 or 2 but

34. One of them was rabid. Ullahannan, the death of dogs entered Chunkam,

Pullarikunnu, Varissery areas. Last 3 days in spite of his efforts, many

dogs had escaped, yesterday he was successful. From his house in Kuzhimattom

Kumaranallur gramapanchayat member Punnan and his followers picked him early

morning in a car. Ullahannan sat in jeep and car among people as VVIP. He

came out of the vehicle with trap in his hand and in 3, 4 hrs he caught 3

dozens of dogs. He got a lot of profit for killing these dogs, but he won't

say how much. Still there are many dogs roaming in Kottayam and neighboring

areas. There are many dogs roaming and causing fear among people in areas

like behind C.M.S College in Savakotta road, M.L road, matsya market, union

club area, Nagambadam. But because of meager amount given by municipality

nobody is willing to kill dogs. Private persons are offering huge amounts to

dogcatchers and are campaigning in front of their homes with vehicles. So it

doesn't look like the municipality will get a dogcatcher immediately - the

report ends.
