Killings in Kerala from BAD TO WORSE

 

 

Dear Rishi,

 

The situation in Trivandrum is getting worse day by day.The panchayat of

vizhinjam (WHERE ANIMAL RESCUE KERALA HAS AN MOU) IS LOOKING FOR

DOG-CATCHERS AS THERE WAS A CASE OF A RABID DOG KILLING A GIRL IN THE NEARBY

PANCHAYAT AND ANGRY MOB WITH A STRAY DOG RUSHED INTO THE OFFICE OF THE

GRAMAPANCHAYAT DEMANDING TLO KILL ALL THE DOGS IN THEIR AREA.

Ist News item- this came in today's(13.4.08) " Malayala Manorama " It says

that there is a lot of menace caused by the dogs at neyattinkara

munucipality.The dogs live near markets where they get enough meet and fish

from the garbage. Dogs had been injected with poison and killed only 10

years before due to which there was no nuisance caused by strays till

now.but the situation has now changed as the stray dogs have geratly

increased in number and they attck ladies and children in packs.The people

have demanded to inject dogs and kill them .

 

2nd News item- It came in the same newspaper Malayala manorama on 2007 NOV

It says that due to the menace caused by the stray dogs the corpopration in

the past 6 months(363 dogs in may,276 dogs in june,207 in august,276 in

september) have killed 1177 dogs.the dogcatchers were payed @ Rs 20/- per

dog. they had spent 23540/- till <http://date.it/> date.it also says that

the dogs live near the markets where they get enough food than what they are

fed at home also liberty and that brings them from the chains at home to

the street.

 

 

SEE THE Way they have plainly lied that dogs were only killed before 10

years..when they had had killed 1177by the end of last year.
