Timber seized

Five Shaktiman truck loads of timber smuggled out from Khoupum side was

seized by Bishnupur police near Bishnupur ward number 1 along Old Cachar

Road at about 10 pm of April 15. After the seized timbers were handed over

to the Chief Conservator of Forest, the same has been deposited at Koirengei

Forest office. It is estimated that the total volume of the seized timber

including 24 logs and 26 beams is 1000 cubic feet (approximately).
