This this a commendable move by the outfit NSCN to have come out with a

diktat on the encroachers.

Hope this works although much of a damage has already been done to the

wildlife there.

*NSCN/GPRN directs encroachers to vacate Zoological Park*

*Dimapur, April 21:* The NSCN/GPRN has directed all illegal encroachers of

Rangapahar Zoological Park, Dimapur, to immediately abandon all

encroachments - constructions, agriculture, loggings, hunting, etc., in the

Zoological Park failing which the GPRN would initiate stringent action on

the defaulter/s.

The GPRN, in an order issued by its Secretary, Bohoto Kiba, said the order

is in the larger interest and welfare of the Nagas and in preserving the

ecological balance and protecting the once rich flora & fauna and wildlife

sanctuary in the land of the Nagas, which is now being threatened and on the

verge of extinction.

The order said the Rangapahar Zoological Park is a common asset of the

Nagas, which every one should preserve, protect and care.

" This property of the Naga people should be protected and defended by all

right thinking citizens of the land, which is our only hope in saving the

wildlife that once abounded and was the pride of our land, " it added.
