a short while ago I submitted some links to my photo album of which

one was about Pata " zoo " at the highest floors of a shopping mall:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/toni_uni/sets/72157603255213793

I like to " highlight " , apart from the shaming exhibition of the

animals, that I found exactly 1 Humboldt pinquin surviving the lot I

have seen some months before! The rest died in the mean time. The link

to the photo:

When, oh when can we get rid of this misery??

Antoniuni, what shopping mall is this? I am here now in BKK shopping and

can hand-deliver a letter of protest to the management on behalf of

AnimalNepal - or if u started a quick petition online and got some

signatures, I can print and deliver that too. I think animals in shopping

malls other then the surrounding wildlife that depends on McDonalds & Burger

King scraps is just plain stupid. Humbold Penguins in Thailand? That¹s

bordering on insanity, as its 35c today, although the air-conditioning in

Thailand does recreate an artic environment for shoppers. Also planning on

visiting some kinda seaworld knock-off they have at Paragon-Siam while here;

that¹s in the basement where I am wondering if the same sorta stupidity

exists.

Hi, this is Maya from Hong Kong,

A few years ago,I was offered by my family member who lives in Bangkok to go

Pata department store in Bnagkok.

He said that there was an little zoo which has an elephant and a tigers on the

amusement site located on the top floor.

I did regist to go, because I did not want to see the horrible situation to wild

animals. I was surprised that it is still existed. As everyone know, Bangkok

tempreture is over 35 degree on avarage, and animals will not be treated by them

properly.

One thing I want to mention was a zoo in Bankok. They are trying to make profit

from selling waters which human throw into monky's cage. Because monkeys are so

thirsty, begging drinks to human. This is unforgibable fact. If anyone have a

photo of that kind of zoo, please post them on here. Unfortunately I do not

have such photos.

Thanks,

Maya
