Gyanendra's history of sacrificing animals & miscellaneous other dubious involvements & associations have already been exposed in ANIMAL PEOPLE five times in the past five years. But exposing him hardly takes length & breadth, which are not exactly terms commonly associated with him. The guy has yet to do anything, so far as I can tell, that would have been original even a few thousand years ago. Except for having been born into a royal family, his abilities & inclinations would probably just barely qualify him to bribe someone to get a job as a Kerala dogcatcher. Which may be his next career choice. -- Merritt Clifton Editor, ANIMAL PEOPLE P.O. Guest guest
> Gyanendra's history of sacrificing animals & miscellaneous other dubious involvements & associations have already been exposed in ANIMAL PEOPLE five times in the past five years.< Wow ! For the past 5 years this man was on 'Animal People' for all the wrong reasons. > But exposing him hardly takes length & breadth, which are not exactly terms commonly associated with him.< On this we can all contribute and gather facts that directly/ indirectly make him hand in glove on the murder for religion industry. And this shall not be difficult to do so. >The guy has yet to do anything, so far as I can tell, that would have been original even a few thousand years ago.< 'Animal People' claims to be a 'newspaper' (as seen in the disclaimer). Now are we to believe that because this person`s past animal murders got a mention on the news paper, his present day murders go unreported/ discussed/ written about. isn't that NEWS or 'Animal News' ?? Any news is original provided it has occurred again. And in this case if it was 'NEWS' then, it carries more news valve because the crimes have not happened. And more than just reporting, I think 'Animal People ' can be best put into use if it can analyze the facts and hit out on the abusers. For just the news we have the agencies and other independent news media on the job who flood us with news as it happens. > Except for having been born into a royal family, his abilities & inclinations would probably just barely qualify him to bribe someone to get a job as a Kerala dogcatcher. Which may be his next career choice.< He may end up bribing the world, but can he bribe us ????? In view that Gyanendra's misdeeds against animals and alleged misused of funds raised in the name of charity toward animals were exposed for half a page in the April 2008 edition of ANIMAL PEOPLE, and in view that the expose was posted to AAPN on April 11, this fulmination appears to be the product of both a failure to check facts and a short attention span. -- Merritt Clifton Editor, ANIMAL PEOPLE P.O. Guest guest
> fulmination appears to be the product of both a failure to check facts and a short attention span.< Oh come on, in this age of data explosion where every news is a remake of the old, isn't it an awesome opportunity as an editor to make a profile of this man and bring it up to date with the very recent killings that he organised in Nepal. That would be something NEW. News persons are known to deliver old wine in new bottle, and this wine can deliver a lot more kicks. I can see that very well. Most of the older reports on 'Animal People' including the (Kings`s one on ANIMAL PEOPLE, May 2008) was based up from news agencies (something that is of archive). Maybe a one to one interview of the King. maybe some vies of the general public, all these are good enough reason for 'Animal People' to follow up on. Let us finally have some solid news of archival value on this man which we can refer to in days to come instead of the dozens of older news here and there. Perhaps a biography. Believe me, this is awesome masala !! Azam On Wed, May 14, 2008 at 1:32 PM, Merritt Clifton <anmlpepl wrote: > >'Animal People' claims to be a 'newspaper' (as seen in the > >disclaimer). So do it. My own bet, though, is that Gyanendra will rate barely an asterisk in anyone's memory five years from now, even if he does become the high commissioner of elephant polo. He has had his five minutes of celebrity. -- Merritt Clifton Editor, ANIMAL PEOPLE P.O.
