(IN) Delay in Payment by Ranchi Municipal Corporation

Dear Friends,

As you all know, we have been running a ABC program in Ranchi since last

year October. We are doing this program after signing MOU with Ranchi

Municipal Corporation. They agreed to pay us Rs. 395 per dog under the ABC

program, the dogs are being caught by the Municipal Dog catching squad.

Now it has been over two month that our last two months bills are not

passed. We have taken up this matter with the CEO of Ranchi Municipal

Corporation, he assured us that there will not be problem but still we have

not received the payment.

Our savings are limited and we would be exhousting our funds if we don't

receive payments by the end of this month - we will have to close down the

program or take a break which will impact our whole system. We have Vets and

Program Co-ordinator to be paid.

Our Monthly Salaries comes to Rs. 25,000 (We are highly obliged for support

provided by The Winsome Constance Kindness Trust for partially taking the

burdon off since October 2007)

Please find attached the Monthly ABC Report - we are waiting to receive more

than 50,000/- Rupees from Ranchi Municipal Corporation.

I am sending this mails to you all to see if any of you have any contacts or

pressure group who can communicate to the higher authorities for smoother

payment - we are ready for one month time span for receiving payments.

We also would like to take your attention to our Dog Catching man pulled

rickshaw - we recently bought the dog catching nets (4) but practically it

is not possible for us to make use of those nets to put the dog in the

rickshaw- Putting one dog in the rickshaw is easy but the other dogs are

very difficult put it - It is a very small rickshaw of 4x5 feet. We are

running this program with lots of odds please help us improve our methods -
