Guest guest
Less than a week left to adopt Beda, Orangutan of the Month for January From Beda’s Background Story: “On one day a woman came to look for work as a cook or baby sitter at the clinic of Nyaru Menteng. She was from Tumbang Jutuh village on the Rungan River, the river that runs behind the Arboretum of Nyaru Menteng. Her husband had disappeared a year ago and she was left to fend for herself and her two children. Her sister lives in Tangkilling, a small village only 5 minutes from the Nyaru Menteng project, and suggested she seek work here at our project. She told us she wanted to give us her orangutan, which she had had as a pet for 8-9 months, but she could not afford the transport back and forth. The Nyaru Menteng Rescue Team left together with the woman to Tumbang Jutuh to pick up the orangutan....” To adopt Beda or another orangutan, please visit http://www.savetheorangutan.co.uk/?page_id=294 Michelle Desilets, Director Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation UK www.savetheorangutan.org.uk " Primates Helping Primates " NEW EMAIL ADDRESS: info Support the World Aids Awareness campaign this month with for Good
