It was a great pleasure to meet you at the Karmayog event. With regard to our brief conversation there, I would like to introduce our program in greater detail. NASSCOM Foundation (NF)'s mission is to leverage information and communication technologies (ICT) to empower and transform the lives of the under-served. NF today has the unique opportunity of leading the IT Industry towards changing the social development landscape of India. NF through its NASSCOM Knowledge Network (NKN) program is currently working across rural India and urban slums. The NKN network has around 179 knowledge centers spread across 12 states and 75 districts. This year our focus is to set up 700 centers across India. We will support these centers with content and capacity building training. Our CEDAT training aims to empower people with disabilities for vocational training. We also encourage volunteering and are also spreading awareness on HIV & AIDS amongst our IT companies as well as in rural communities. We also manage the BiG Tech Program, which is an online software donations program for Indian non-profits and non-governmental organizations through its website www.bigtech.in <http://www.bigtech.in/> . We believe this will help to conserve their budget and the surplus can be utilized for their core programs. Currently, BiG Tech is offering Microsoft Products (more than 100), UltraKey typing tool and has plans to add other software and hardware over a period of time. I would suggest that you register with us on www.bigtech.in/user/register/ to avail of this donation. We want to reach out to Indian NGOs/NPOs/Community groups so do pass on this message to your partners!
