Dear Supporter,

Thank you for showing your patronage towards PAWS (Plants & Animals

Welfare Society) and helping us with our day-to-day welfare activities

in the rehabilitation of distressed animals.

From the past 9 years, we have been at the forefront in the entire

district of Thane. Our ambulance services, which is currently serving 3

districts has already helped more than 1800 animals last year. Since

PAWS's inception we helped more then 8,000 animals, birds & reptiles

till the date, this is certainly an achievement in itself. Sometime

back, we have even introduced a helpline number for snake rescue now,

which involves safe bagging of snakes from human colonies and then

sending it for clinical rehabilitation. Our volunteers run cover almost

every part of the suburban area in providing first aid and primary

medical aid to injured animals. Pigeon shelters are adding more and more

numbers to its total count. We are also in the process of initiating an

agreement with the Municipal Corporation to provide us with necessary

amenities for starting a full-fledges animal hospital. Our special wing

of volunteers who are expert in vaccinating stray animals covers almost

600 stray dogs every year. Our helpline number remains functional 365

days in a year. In addition to this, we organize veterinary camps for

donkeys, horses and bullocks. Last year we participated in 30 schools

spreading awareness amongst school kids about our depleting flora and

fauna. Also conducted unique 'House Sparrow Habitat Protection Program'

& Tree Plantation.

 

 

To streamline everything in place, it takes a lot of effort in terms of

co-ordination, postages, medication, staff salary, vehicle maintenance,

administrative expenses and the list adds up with every passing day.
