Hi AAPN list, this is John Seed from the Rainforest Information Centre in

Australia. Whilst in Kerala in December, I learned of threats to the future of

the world's largest remaining population of wild Asian Elephants who inhabit the

Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve.

I believe that at least some of these threats can be stopped through an

international email campaign

Please check out our 4-minute video about the issue

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSCebiOCs9A and learn more at

http://www.rainforestinfo.org.au/e/appeal.htm

Take action at

http://www.forests.org/shared/alerts/send.aspx?id=india_elephants where, with

just a few clicks of the mouse, you can send emails to dozens of decision makers

in India who hold the future of these magnificent creatures in their hands

If you are on Facebook, please join the Facebook cause " Long Live the

Elephants " ( http://www.causes.com/elephants ) and ask your Facebook friends

to also join this cause,
