Guest guest
In rural areas and among those who own farm houses etc with ample free space some rescued goats would suit. But in city areas/ apartments/ colonies (with India in my mind) I do not think it would be wise to have Goats as pets. The reasons being: 1. They need quite a lot of space to hang around. You just cannot chain them. 2. You would pick up regular arguments and quarrels with your neighbours as their dog pets would make the life hell for your pet goat/s. This is a nightmare I have to live with when my the homeless dogs in my colony chase the goats of my next door neighbour. The dogs run after the goat, the neighbour runs after the dogs and I run behind them to ensure that the dogs are not thrashed. 3. The AWBI is already having a tough time funding ABC programs through the local administration and municipal corporations sterilizing the dogs and cats. Goats multiply very fast. And without an ABC in the run down this is a recipe for disaster. Indeed goats are lovely animals when observed. They have excellent forms of expressions and can qualify to become pets but as I said not within city limits in a middle class society. Either you are a village dweller or you have a mansion/ farmhouse with ample space. Then you can have goats as pets. Guest guest
I don¹t know if my actual letter made it here to the forum, but I tried to urge m.r.hubert to give it up, but apparently they are not going to. Perhaps more letters? Or a resignation that human beings are just dumb asses and are going to make life hell for goats just like they do for every other living creature:) Jigs On 7/20/09 1:58 PM, " AZAM SIDDIQUI " <azam24x7 wrote: >> >1.
