Leopard pelts worth Rs 1.5 lakh recovered

BELGAUM: Khade Bazar police have arrested three inter-state poachers here on

Wednesday and recovered leopard pelts worth of Rs 1.5 lakh from them.

 

The accused have been identified as Jenish Aipurn Korad (27), Kallappa

Dundappa Latti (30), and Basir Ahmad Babasaheb Sanadi (25).

 

The police said Jenish " allegedly " sold pelts of wild animals in various

states with the help his accomplices. The team, led by PSI B P

Chandrashekhar, netted the accused under the guidance of DySP J M Desur.
