The elephant attacked the jeep in which the five were sitting in Narhi village of Ballia district, about 300 km from here. " The jeep was caught in a traffic jam and was standing close to the elephant, which suddenly turned wild. It attacked the vehicle. The driver was killed, " Inspector Anuj Kumar said on phone. Two of the injured are in critical condition and are being treated at the district hospital in Ballia.
