Guest guest
Dear All, I wonder if anything is happening for the animals. I enclose one of many such desperate messages. I am down to the East facing enough works but I would be able to coordinate the help there up if nothing is happening. I am sure that Ashshis is there doing tremendous works but if more teams are necessary please ask for and you may get intouch with below addresses please. I am concerned and would like to do the best. The entire animal fraternties should be up there please. Lots of man power with medicines and enough food. I do not know whom to contact at IFAW and HSI and RSPCA . We all need to gettogether fast please. Best regards, Pradeep. --- On Sun, 9/7/08, Naresh Kadyan <kadyan.ipfa wrote: Naresh Kadyan <kadyan.ipfa Fwd: Bihar flood relief " aapn " <aapn >, animal_net Cc: " OIPA Presidency Office " <presidency, international Sunday, September 7, 2008, 10:59 PM Dear Mr.Kadyan, During any calamity, it is understandable and natural for all relief agencies to try and save as many human lives as possible. The animals are left alone to fend for themselves. More than a million livestock have been directly affected( Government Statistics), we believe its much higher. Some are still out there, huddled and standing in the water. Thousands of livestock can still be seen on Hanumannagar embankment. There are many more who are stranded in Chatapur block where evacuation is still going on. The sight of these animals, skeletal thin and standing still in water is heart rendering. They would not have eaten or sat down after the flood started 20 days back. These animals need immediate and professional care. They need fodder, nutritional supplement, vaccination, deworming..they need lot of help. Most importantly, those animals who are still out there in thousands and cannot move have to be taken care of immediately. Either by evacuation or, by reaching them and giving them fodder and medical attention. All the motor boats or inflatables power boats are engaged in evacuation of people...we need at least one powered boat to immediately start relief work for stranded cattle. Mass vaccination, deworming, treatment , fodder, supplementary diets are needed. Affected livestock has to be separated and treated in quarantined zones..and this has to be a sustained effort. Thousands, maybe a million have perished in very tragic conditions ; if we want to save the ones who are trapped...the time is now. It would be Gods work if you can help us in anyway to help these livestocks. + `chandan +919931763070 www.biharfloodrelie f2008.blogspot. com ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Chandan <csingh (AT) gmail (DOT) com> Sun, Sep 7, 2008 at 10:53 PM Re: Bihar flood relief Naresh Kadyan <kadyan.ipfa@ gmail.com> Dear Mr.Kadyan, During any calamity, it is understandable and natural for all relief agencies to try and save as many human lives as possible.
