Guest guest
Dear Azam, Why can't you campaign against the national disaster management committee? This comes under Animal Rights! Have you tried to contact your organization PFA & since you are the master trainer of AWBI did you contact them? Regards, Nilesh Bhanage " The hands that help are holier than the lips that pray " . Annual floods are a regular feature in many states of India like Assam, Bihar, West Bengal etc. At times the magnitude is more at times less. Then why has there been no serious collective joint effort by the AWOs, AWBI etc to address this disaster. The National Disaster Management committee too has no animal people representation. Guest guest
FYI Regards, Nilesh Bhanage " The hands that help are holier than the lips that pray " . .................................................................................\ ............. http://www.animalrescueblog.org/ 2 Million Flee Flooding in India - IFAW & WTI are there http://animalrescue.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2008/09\ /02/kosi_11.jpg Michael Booth, the International Fund for Animal Welfare's <http://www.ifaw.org/> Emergency Responder at IFAW HQ filed this brief update. The Northern State of Bihar in India is experiencing the worst floods in their history. An estimated 2 million people have been forced to evacuate since the Kosi River breached a dam in Nepal that shifted the water flow, inundating a huge area of farm lands. Reports indicate that at least 2000 people have died so far, the actual number could be much higher. IFAW and the Wildlife Trust of India <http://www.wildlifetrustofindia.org/> are on the ground conducting assessments on the conditions and needs of animals affected by this disaster and look to provide valuable veterinary treatment and de-worming medicine for predominantly cattle, buffalo, and goats. ________ AZAM SIDDIQUI [azam24x7] Monday, September 08, 2008 3:38 AM Naresh Kadyan Cc: aapn; animal_net ; OIPA Presidency Office; international Re: Fwd: Bihar flood relief Isnt' it a matter of SHAME for the hundreds of AWOs and the Godfather- AWBI when they read such an SOS?
