Invitation to a Webinar - Writing to raise funds

We would like to extend the following invitation to all of you on the AAPN

list:

 

On February 25/ 26 (depending on your time zone)

The Best Friends Network International Team will be holding a Webinar on the

topic " Writing to raise funds. "

 

Elizabeth Doyle, Best Friends writer, will be sharing some of her special

insights into the best ways to reach your readers and inspire them to give

generously. Elizabeth has been writing for Best Friends magazine, websites,

and newsletters for years and is a regular speaker at Best Friends workshops

and conferences. Elizabeth is the Editor of the Best Friends Network East

Asia Community.

 

The Webinar is free and you are invited to attend! It will last for a

little less than one hour and will be interactive. You'll be able to ask

questions and post comments online in real time.

 

No writing talent is needed--just a wish to communicate! The focus will be

on how to write and how to engage your readers--not on other technical

aspects of fund-raising. Whether you're already highly successful or just

starting out, this will be useful in writing for your groups' websites and

newsletters--or for stories for the Best Friends Network.

 

If you wish, you may also join us, simultaneously, by phone--however, since

we know that can be difficult from overseas--the online Webinar will be

complete in itself--you'll be able to follow the presentation without being

on the phone.

 

When is the Webinar?

 

The Webinar will be held at 7 PM U.S. Mountain Time, on Wednesday February

25.

The time for the Webinar--

U.S. Eastern time will be 9 PM. U.S. Pacific time will be 6 PM.

Bangkok, Thailand --the time will be Thursday, February 26, 9 AM

Singapore -- the time will be Thursday, February 26, 10 AM

Beijing, China -- the time will be Thursday, February 26, 10 AM

Lahore, Pakistan --the time will be Thursday, February 26, 7 AM

Chennai, India -- the time will be Thursday, February 26, 7:30 AM

Cairo, Egypt -- the time will be Thursday, February 26, 4 AM

Paris, France -- the time will be Thursday, February 26, 3 AM

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic--Wed., February 25, 10 PM

 

Every month, the Best Friends Network International Team has been holding a

phone call for Volunteer Writers. This month, for the first time, we're

opening the phone call up so that more people can attend--and we're holding

the Webinar!

 

We really wanted to invite to this Webinar, especially, those of you who are

friends of Best Friends--or members or guest writers of the Best Friends

Network--or who may have expressed an interest in writing for the Network.

Or, if you write for your own organization, online or in print, or are

involved in any kind of writing to benefit animals, we'll be delighted to

have you join us!

 

The Best Friends Network has volunteers all over the world--in so many

different time zones. So we're going to be rotating the times of future

phone calls from month to month to reach people on every continent.

 

We've set the timing of this particular phone call and Webinar to be, we

hope, convenient for those of you living in Asia, particularly in East Asia.
