A group of activists in the US are trying to prevent this. The Zoo claims she will have the company of another elephant, Shanti, or Shanty, who is also going to be shipped to the same Mexican zoo. All that is known about Shanti is this photo. We are trying to determine if there are any visible clues to identify her whereabouts. Do you think that perhaps there are elements here that suggest it could be a zoo in India or anywhere in Asia? Probably unlikely, but I thought I'd just check with our AAPN members.
