(IN): One Buffalo & 121 Goats sacrificed at Kamakhya

(Following is a transcript of a news report that appeared in the 'Assamese'

local 'Asomiya Pratidin' in Guwahati city)

 

Pratidin reporter, Guwahati, July 27:

 

Following the recent victory of the UPA led Indian Government on the Indo-

US neuclear deal trust vote, three leaders of the Congress part are believed

to have come from New Delhi to perform animal sacrifices at the holy shrine

of Kamakhya in Guwahati.

 

According to a source at the temple these leaders will perform the

sacrifices in three days starting yesterday of 121 goats and a buffalo. The

same quantity of animals are supposed to be sacrifices each day.

 

Information from another source says that Samajwadi Party leader and Member

of Parliament Amar Singh`s representatives are also taking part in this

ceremony.

Well I guess once India starts developing and testing tactical nukes, they

can just combine testing and religious ceremonies by nuking whole herds of

goats and buffs. That would at least be more ³humane.²
