He pointed out that I made already enough and insulted me with a Thai word I shall not repeat here. I invited him politely to go with me to the near bye police when he had complaints about me, which he avoided although he must have known that the police isn't doing anything, even after the death of above mentioned elephant which was also reported in Pattaya Daily News: http://www.pattayadailynews.com/shownews.php?IDNEWS=0000007543 After a short time of absence of a lot of elephant-begging- " teams " the ulcer starts growing again. Since a couple of days I notice around the BTS-stations Nana, Asoke and Phrom Pong more and more movement, first a bit sneaky but now more and more openly. It seems that Bangkok's authorities cannot handle the situation concerning the begging elephants. It is time that some demonstration should be prepared concerning this grinding matter! Kind regards Antoni P. Uni
Guest guest
Hi there Antoni. I too am here in BKK on Soi 11 and have seen the same slave elephant for a few nights now, but the band of thugs he has dragging him around is a very seedy crowd. I think the thai police are tied up with other concerns right now so u are right they are of no use, but I think reporting these characters would be a good idea. I am sure they are doing other illegal things as well, like meth. Anyway, cheers! Jigs in BKK On 11/26/08 4:39 PM, " jwed " <john wrote: > > > > Antoni P.
