Guest guest
CHENNAI: Mars India, market leaders in the pet food sector, has launched the complete daily vegetarian dog food, called Pedigree 100 percent Complete Dog Food. The balanced daily meal, as it was called, was launched on Wednesday at Taj Mount Road. Ajay Iyer, Regional Sales Manager, South and East, Mars International India, said the plan to launch the vegetarian dog food in Chennai came about as Tamil Nadu and Gujarat recorded a high number of vegetarians, who wished to feed their dog only vegetarian food. " But the food they serve often does not cater to the dog's daily nutritional needs, thus leading to many diseases and poor health among the canines, " he said. Also present at the launch were veterinarians AP Nambi and Dr V Arun. Dr Nambi explained that the needs of dogs differ from that of humans and awareness about that was very little. " Rarely do people realise that feeding dogs with chocolates or grapes can even turn fatal for them, while there is no sense in the habit of not serving dogs salt, " he said, adding that dogs could be assured of good health if they were fed Pedigree's vegetarian meal, which provides the nutrients that non vegetarian food often gives. Pedigree's 100 percent vegetarian food costs Rs 400 for 3 kgs. -- full story: http://www.expressbuzz.com/edition/story.aspx?Title=Dog+food+is+vegetarian+now & a\ rtid=EczU08RxSGA= & SectionID=lifojHIWDUU= & MainSectionID=wIcBMLGbUJI= & SectionName=\ rSY%7C6QYp3kQ= & SEO=
