The attached news item needs grave and serious introspection and committed

action from animal lovers all over the world.

While plans for implementing this 'prestigious' project of raising animal

farms and butchering under the Animal Husbandry Ministry of Kerala were

underway ,I personally have asked the Animal Husbandry Minister not to be

swayed by such archaic and barbaric husbandry revolutions suggested by a

handful of greedy bureaucrats.

I also requested him not to pursue this project which would give another

bloody feather to his tarnished ministry which validates all the illegal

trafficking and mass slaughtering of cattle from other states. There already

is a case pending in the Hon.Supreme Court of India in which the state of

Kerala has to desperately defend and justify its non-observance of Central

Slaughter House and Transport Rules.

I thought better sense may prevail;but now it is evident that the

KeralaState Animal Husbandry officials have had their way and had gone for

the jugular of the young calves and the heifers.

As per the project the juglar and pericardium of the bovines would be

'cheaper and profitable' in surgeries as patch materials and valved conduit.

According to Kerala State Animal Husbandry bosses their ministry can rope in

millions of rupees by introducing this method !

The colourful brochures released by the Kerala State Tourism Department

calls Kerala as God's own Country.

I feel ashamed of being a Keralite now.
