Chalakkudy -- [in the South indian state of Kerala]: While being buried

alive in a landslip, a dog saved the whole family of Mr.Porunnukunnil

Anthikkottu Thilakan from the same fate on the wee hours of Tuesday.

 

It is now the season of heavy monsoon showers in Kerala and around 4:30

A.M.on Tuesday the whole family of Mr.Thilakan woke up hearing the incessant

barking of the dog chained on their backyard.

Hearing the rumbling of the landslip and the rushing waters, the alerted

family of Thilakan including his aged mother Kunhamma [65] and daughter

Anaamika [6] escaped to safety with minor injuries.

 

The chained dog could not escape and was buried alive under the heap of

rubble and heap.
