A quote from the Hindu newspaper Trivandrum, Kerala 14th December 2008 . The

article is actually about complaints against rickshaw drivers , but they still

managed to get in some anti-dog hype.

''A traffic police official said that the stray dog menace in the city had

increased several folds. Two-wheeler riders and pedestrians were at the risk of

being attacked by rabid dogs. The Corporation’s dog catching squad ceased to

function because its members were not being paid their salaries.''

''Dog squad

He said disposing the carcasses of rabid dogs was a problem because residents

across the city often opposed the burial of such vermin in their respective

localities. He said the services of the dog squad were available at

0471-2164815''.

In a recent reply to a right to imformation request from ARK to Trivandrum

Corporation , they were asked how many rabid dogs had been picked up. The answer

that came back was NIL

This is a lot of hype to keep the people anti dogs.
