Dear all

The Trivandrum corporation were out on Saturday at Karraivattom campus

catching the dogs and killing them. I am sure that the corporation is out

killing dogs every day but the situation is now so common place that we are not

informed so much.

The above happened in front of students and i have had a couple of them come

to visit me yesterday [the day after the killing] very upset.

Our case against Trivandrum Corporation comes up in the Munsiff court in

Trivandrum within the next few weeks. In a case in the high court in Cochin that

was bought by a trivandrum citizen against the corporation which ended on 4Th

Sept 07 the corporation has said it is doing the ABC/AR programme. This is

completely untrue.

We have receipt of a RTI which we have got the corporation to answer, and we

believe it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the corporation is killing big

time in a cruel illegal fashion.

We have got an advocate in Cochin to take out a contempt order on the

Corporation.

I do not believe even if we win the case in the Munsiff court that the

corporation will stop the killing, please go to our website and sign the

petition www.animalrescuekerala.org to help us to get 100,000 signitures to

force the high court in Delhi to take up the issue of killing of the street dogs

in Kerala, our petition is backed by WSPA with whom we are a member society and

is run by Citizens for animals rights, in Delhi.

Thanking you avis lyons
