Transfer of the case from Darjeeling to Kolkata is also proving difficult. To transfer a case, it is mandatory to produce a certified copy of the last order passed by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate and a copy of the FIR before the new court. The scientists' counsel, Anuj Singh, could not collect the document from the Darjeeling court because of the suspension of the judicial proceedings in the Hills. With the GJM bandh still in force, the situation is not likely to change soon. Singh had discussed the issue with Mr Du Hymen, ambassador of Czech Republic in Darjeeling on Monday. After returning from Darjeeling, he said the bail petition of the scientists would be filed in the Kolkata High Court. Hymen was trying to collect the requisite documents from Darjeeling and would be there for the next two days, said Singh. Hymen also visited the duo in the Darjeeling jail on Tuesday morning. B D Sharma, IG (Prison) said, " The Czech ambassador did not seek any assistance for them from the jail staff. " The duo were arrested by the forest department officials for allegedly possessing beetles, butterflies and larvae near the Singalila National Park on June 22. -- United against elephant polo http://www.stopelephantpolo.com http://www.freewebs.com/azamsiddiqui
