State forest minister Ananta Roy said that the department would soon send a letter to Mamata, asking her to take steps so that such accidents on the railway track that cuts through the Dooars and the Terai can be minimized. " We had written several times to her predecessors. But nothing was done to control such accidents. Mamata Banerjee hails from this state and we are hopeful that she will understand the importance of the issue, " Roy said on Saturday.
