WWF versus WWF(WWE)

Dear all,

A friend sent this article to me in response to a query of mine

concerning a particular cartoon on the WWF versus WWF(WWE) logo controversy.

I found it hilarious and the Asian Giant Panda is the central character in

this. It is an old issue but I found it really very funny and interesting. I

have also been sent a lovely photograph of a Giant Panda fighting a WWF(WWE)

wrestler which I wanted to share but cannot since AAPN does not accept

attachments.( I can send it personally though if anyone is interested.)

If anyone has a copy that cartoon of the Giant Panda punching the WWF(WWE)

wrestler in the boxing ring, please do forward it to me. If it is used

formally, acknowledgement will be given. Thank you.

The World Wrestling Federation and the World Wildlife Fund hold something in

common besides the welfare of some vicious, hairy animals: their initials.

Hence the Internet domain-name battle. The Fund uses wwf.org but the

Federation uses wwf.com which the people at the Fund claim violates a 1994

agreement. They're trying to pursue it in court in London, but we say settle

it in the ring. Here's how the teams match up:
