*Absconding MLAs ‘seen’ in MLA Hostel*

GUWAHATI, March 20: Even after the fourth day of their vandalism in the

Kaziranga National Park (KNP), the Assam Police is yet to trace MLAs Jiten

Gogoi and Kushal Duori. Sources, however, said the two MLAs were seen in the

MLA Hostel at Dispur yesterday, and they were in the residence of an MLA

last night. The sources further said the MLAs have been trying to get

anticipatory bail. The police, according to sources, made no efforts to seek

permission of the Assembly Speaker to arrest the two legislators. While the

All Assam Asom Forest Employees’ Union set a ten-day deadline for the

Government to arrest the two MLAs, the Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP)

also demanded of the government to arrest the two MLAs immediately.
