He, however, ruled out the possibility of poachers killing the animal. " The highly decomposed body of the tiger, aged around 12 years, was recovered in the Tala range of the park Friday morning, " park director Aseem Shrivastava said. The autopsy was conducted in the presence of wildlife expert AB Srivastava, nominated by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) as per the newly laid down norms. " The cause of death could not be conclusively established as the big cat seems to have died five to six days ago and the body had decomposed to a great extent. Nothing concrete was revealed in the autopsy too and several organs were destroyed in the process, " said the park director. Denying any possibility of poaching, he said considering the tiger's age, the death could be attributed to natural causes. The viscera is however being sent for examination to the forensic laboratory in Sagar. Earlier a four-month-old male tiger cub, who was injured April 21 after coming under a vehicle carrying foreign tourists, died April 25. http://www.stopelephantpolo.com http://www.freewebs.com/azamsiddiqui
