Guest guest Posted January 21, 2009 Report Share Posted January 21, 2009 The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) would like to thank all people at AAPN who have written to the Director-General of the Department of National Parks (DNP) as well as the commander of the Police Crime Unit for Natural Resources and Environment regarding the confiscation of the orangutan and other illegal wildlife at the " Kaeng Pheka Resort " several months ago. The DNP has now finally taken away all illegal wildlife from this mini-zoo and taken it in to its care at the wildlife breeding center at " Kao Prathapchang " of the government due to the international pressure. Again thank you all for the letters, it made the difference at the end, hopefully the officials will from now on take illegal wildlife away from the owners on the spot. If they do not I will probably soon need your help again as we found again some illegally imported orangutans, update on this soon!
