Dear Friends and Animal Lovers,

There has been a huge outcry from the Hong Kong public surrounding the short and

wasted life of a homeless puppy.

You can STOP more of these innocent puppies and dogs from being destroyed by

stopping the problem at the real source.

Join STOP in urging the government to introduce a trial Trap, Neuter and Return

(TNR) programme this year! The cat TNR is proving to be VERY successful in Hong

Kong already.

This trial will STOP the overpopulation of dogs in HK and is a long term

solution that will prevent stories like this from ever happening again.

Simply, type your name at the bottom of this email and forward it to:

Dr. Chow at the Food & Health we have heard is ready to take TNR seriously but

he needs to know that we support him and the trial.

So, please spread the word by passing this letter of support to all your

friends! If we ALL do this, it WILL make a difference.

Join us and be a part of the solution! We hope to get the whole community

sending the same email!

Your friends at " STOP Save HK's Cats and Dogs "

Dear Dr. Chow,

I support the animal welfare work the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation

Department (AFCD) has already accomplished in Hong Kong.

However, I am wondering why there are still so many stray dogs?

There is a practical solution to the various problems arising from the

continuing huge numbers of stray dogs --- the Trap/Neuter/Return Programme

(TNR).

If AFCD were to introduce this, Hong Kong could control it's stray dog

population in a cost-effective humane fashion and could greatly reduce the risk

of rabies from the Mainland.

I believe there are programmes already in place in Hong Kong that have radically

reduced the population of feral cats and even monkeys?

Dog TNR programmes have proved to be successful in countries such as the USA, UK

and even India among others and there is plenty of research documenting these

successes.

Surely Hong Kong can follow suit?

The AFCD promised the Animal Welfare Advisory Group (AWAG) at the February 2009

meeting that a trial TNR programme for dogs would be implemented this year

provided there was community support.

Please take this email as an indication of my strong support.
