No Red Cape, or Red Ink, in South Korean Bullrings

³This is not about man conquering nature, as in Spanish bullfighting. We

are simply observing nature in action.² -- Kang Chu-sam, President of the

Jinju Bullfighting Association

I was just floored by this article, as I am sure you will be. There is only

one mention of animal abuse in the reporting, at the very end of the

article:

He [Kang Chu-sam, President of the Jinju Bullfighting Association] dismissed

concerns that the pastime¹s revival might attract charges of animal abuse.

Very disappointed in the NYT for not probing further, or at least contacting

a south Korean animal welfare agency for an alternate opinion. And of

course, I am very disappointed in the entire human race today. What

madness.
