Guest guest
BBC UK: Eat kangaroo to 'save the planet' - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7551125.stm ³Kangaroos could be good for the environment² is the caption over a photo of a baby roo pouched with mama. The article goes on to explain that by eating kangaroo burgers instead of beefy or sheepy ones Aussies could reduce Australia¹s carbon footprint by 11%. Has the world gone mad? Do we really want to blame the world¹s pollution problems on animal farts? Apparently the BBC has no problem with that. And the head of Australia¹s Wildlife Services is urging Australians to farm kangaroo for eating, as they pass much less gas then cows, sheep, and the BBC. Why should Asians for Animals be concerned? Australia has flooded the food market in many Asian countries, and here in my own, you can find a Australian Lamb chop dinner at any of the Nepali 5-star hotels for less then 15 Euros. Or go to any local cold store, and you will find tins of Australian powdered milk selling for a day¹s wages. I suspect unless kangaroos are saved from the slaughterhouses, we will see frozen roo patties in the market soon. I urge all to write the BBC and admonish their insensitive and stupid reporting like I have. And the address for the head of Australian Wildlife Services & Animal Fart Control is: Dr George Wilson Australian Wildlife and Conservation Services Canberra Phone: (02) 6281 2160 Fax: (02) 6285 1195 Email: gwilson Best of luck, Jigs in Nepal
