(ID) Need help Urgently

Dear Femke and other friends,

 

I need help very urgently as the people near my house (most of them were

official people including police, community leader and security guard)

kidnapping my cat. Now only one cat has been kidnapped as the other has run

away on time. The scenario is went on like this:

This afternoon I was at work as usual while my father called me, he said

there were many people came into the house, as the community people were

friendly that time so my father opened the door, and 2 people came inside.

They talked with my father in friendly while one of people outside took the

cat. My father found out and tried to get the cat back, but those people

halt him and became like the angry robber. My father is pretty old and they

pushed my father brutally.

This afternoon I checked to the Dinas Peternakan in Jakarta and found that

they didn't send any people here, so that's mean those people did this in

behave of themselves.

I went to the police station, but the police seems had no willing to handle

this case.

Some community people had animal abuse experience in the past, they pretend

to hit a dog until dead, this dog is in my house now after we rescued it.

I afraid this will happen again in short time, this is the third time they

came to my house, they not success in the last 2 visits but they suceed

now.

There are animal lovers and organizations in Jakarta but unfortunately have

no enough power, after I talked to them most of them also facing the same

problem.

The head of this activities is muslim people, one of them is mosque leader,

this cant be understood, as Islam didn't taught this way, and this people

also had throw kitten to the river for several times.

For a brief, I did feeding the stray cats and had neuter some of them, some

that can't be neutered I also give them the contraception pill for

controlling their birth.

All the fees are come from my pocket, none of sympathy came from those

people, and they contrary willing to distroy everything.

Another fact is, the animal shelter in Jakarta never feed the animals, the

place are terrible bad.

I wonder if there is any law in this country, as this is not only the

violence against animal rights but also human rights, as they have no rights

to take the cat from my house. They can't get the stray s the stray were

very difficult to get, and they get my house cat instead.

I did submit complain several times to the government institution but none

of them had response. This may happen again to me and also other people. I

think it's the time to ask for international support. The government here

never hear anything from the local citizen but they afraid of international

pressure, as at least this country still need foreign help.
