Dear All,

OM BHURBHUVA SWAHA

TATSAVITURVARENYAM

BHARGO DEVASYA DHIMAHI

DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT

May soul of this great ‘Son of Gir’ rest in peace. If lions of Gir and

Girnar could speak, we will better know what he has done for them. He left no

stone unturned to enhance conservation and protection of Gir and Girnar. Not

only animals and forest, but he was very much liked by locals as well! We have

lost one more hero. We together, should try and do our best to conserve nature &

wildlife wherever possible. I think that will be real tribute to his pious soul.

I offer to recognize work of Late Shri Parmar, by help to his family in cash or

kind. I request others to join in and someone near to him to take up the whole

task of coordinating this effort.

God Bless his family.

[Gujarat_Birds] Sad Demise of Shri D A Parmar_Real Jungle Rakshak

Dear Friends,

We, the Rajasthan friends, feel sad. Already the community of dedicated workers

(may be forest officials or other activists) is very small. We hope that the

work of Late Mr Parmar Sb. will encourage all the youngesters to work for the

nature.

Although we are not in touch with Lt Parmar Sb., despite of this we feel that

its the nature who made our relations and we had lost one of the worker of

conservation.

We pay our tributes.

From

It is paifull to learn that a true nature lover and field oriented forest

officer Mr. D. A. Parmar is not with us now. We would always miss him a lot

especially those who have moved in the field tracking lions in girnar, gir and

out side areas will surely miss him. I knew him the day I entered in the field

of forestry and wildlife. A team of late Shri Parmar, late Shir P.P. Raval and

many others have done a lot for the forests that we see in Girnar and parts of

Gir.

On behalf of many who don't know about this misshap I submit our deep and

heartealy condonlenses to his family members.

My god leave his soul in peace of eternity.

Yes, it is very sad news indeed. I too, have chance of meeting the gentleman on

few occassions. Let me tell you that I first met Shri D A Parmar at 2.00

o'clock in night and that too in Girnar forest. Next time I met him at Muda

chowk, Gir (wst) at 4.00 in the morning and he was on patrolling!! !! Which is

evident about his dedication towards his duty.. He faced transfer from Girnar

for taking strict action against politicaly strong people who were clearing and

cutting trees to make a road in Datar hill forest.

A real gentleman and more than that a forester in real sense he was. May God

rest his soul in peace and give stregth to his family members to bear the grief.
