Watch on strays

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the state sports council on Sunday

asked an NGO to control the population of stray cats and dogs inside

Yuvabharati Krirangan. According to an SAI official, the number of strays has

gone up and the sportsmen have complained to the authorities fearing an

attack from the strays. Debashish Chakrabarty of Compassionate Crusaders

Trust, which is executing the operation, said workers will remove some stray

animals to their pounds and sterilise them.

worth Rs 1 lakh in appreciation of our effort of keeping a 'humane' control

& rescue of stray animals/including wildlife, inside the Yubabharati

Centre (Sports Authority of India) and other sports facilities, ensuring
