Guest guest
Dear all Its New years Eve 8-45 pm and I am sickened by the events of the past few hours. A great Dane puppy 5 months approx was brought in at 5-pm ,Ive never seen a dog more malnourished because it just isn't possible for a animal to look worse than this one. Our doctor put the poor animal on a drip and I had him taken into my bedroom to watch him, he died 20 Min's ago at 8-30 ,what is the matter with these people? There is a medical store on every corner here, and some people here only have to sneeze and they are off to the hospital. I have registered cases of cruelty before and they get nowhere, even a man who bashed a dog to death, the case got lost in the court, but if I do not register a case I will name and shame this man, we have photos and i will put him on our website, and photos of his poor poor dog.. A dog came in for treatment the other day, the owners were not from our area, its collar had been too tight and it had made a huge open wound on its neck. The doctor treated the dog, the next day it was discovered by our milkman in a well trying to keep its head above water [i do not know if it was thrown out of the vehicle when leaving here, or just thrown down the well.] The dog is now safely in our kennels, it's a black Pomeranian. Two German shepherds have come in the past week, one thrown out to die, one tied at our gate. People here let their dogs have puppies, sell the male pups and throw the females over our wall, four today, two thrown into a ravine opposite us yesterday, and on and on.. Our kennels have many many many pedigree dogs in, thrown on the street to die, one is a blind great Dane, who was thrown on the street to die. I worked voluntary for an animal rescue centre in Goa before coming here, only one pedigree dog came in the entire time i was there. I am sickened by the events of the last few hours, I could just weep buckets that I could not save this poor poor dog. Before he died he lifted his head to look at me a few times. avis lyons www.animalrescuekerala.org .
