Most animals in India and Pakistan have miserable lives. The only difference is that in India, we have very well drawn up laws which are seldom enforced whereas we do not have these in Pakistan. Let us hope that both our countries evolve to the point where we can truly call ourselves civilised. All the religions of our sub-continent preach kindness to animals. The Holy Koran says: " There is not an animal that crawls on this earth, nor a bird that flies with its wings - but the same is a community - like unto you. All God's creatures are His family " .
