Guest guest
According to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, " A *disaster* is the impact of a natural or human-made hazard that negatively affects society or environment " . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster Please note the term: '*human-made hazard'* Hence human beings are therefore guilty to be forcing an animal which is being reared for human consumption, be it poultry, livestock, cattle etc into 24x7 trauma which is a 'DISASTER' in itself. Therefore when we speak of rescuing or making efforts of carrying out relief measures for those animals post a natural disaster/ calamity, despite our noble intentions I am afraid we end up only cheating the voiceless beings of the animal kingdom just prove that we are no better than the rest of our meat eating brethren. Picture this: In a prison that houses inmates who have been sentenced to death but are not in the perfect health for accepting the noose. A Red Cross team of physicians which feels for them, comes to their rescue only because they can walk up to the gallows in full strength. Please explain how different are our animal people engaged in the rescue/ rehab of farm animals?
