Guest guest
http://www.timesnow.tv/videoshow/4324937.cms 'Thorat's violated Wildlife Protection Act' Animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi demanded action the zoo director for allowing the agriculture minister of Maharashtra, Balasahb Thorat, to enter the tiger cub in Nagpur. She said, " Thorat has broken the Widlife Protection act. It is completely illegal to enter any zoo cage. Entering a cage of a big cat would would have led to one of two things - either the man would have been killed or the tiger would have been killed (The tiger would have attacked the man and then it would have been shot from outside. But, the person at fault is not the minister here, but the zoo director. Under the Wildlife Protection act, anything that a person does that puts the animal in jeopardy is punishable for 7 years. " Maharashtra state Agriculture Minister Balasaheb Thorat has kicked up a huge controversy in Nagpur after video footage of him entering a Tiger cub's cage in the city zoo was made public. The video footage shows Thorat entering into the Tiger's cage in presence of the tiger's trainer. -- http://www.stopelephantpolo.com http://www.freewebs.com/azamsiddiqui
