RANI ELEPHANT REACT AGAINST ABUSE IN AMBER FORTE, JAIPUR : CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS

AGAINST SO CALLED OWNER/MASTER/PROMOTER/SUPPORTER

 

Elephants are being abused, tortured during their training, playing and

ride to joy for profit. People for Animals (PFA) Haryana chairman Naresh

Kadyan, representative of the International Organization for Animal

Protection - OIPA in India moved a public interest litigation bearing No.

8987 of 2006, during the PIL hearing PETA India also joined Naresh Kadyan

petition.

There are so many Elephants are in illegal captivity with fake ownership but

the concerned state wild life authorities failed to rehabilitate captive

elephants, in Jaipur as well there are so many elephants like this, FIR was

lodged against the offenders but the custody of elephant was also given to

the accused during court trial. State Wild Life officials are advised to

look in to ban the Elephants ride for joy / Polo - so called sport. OIPA in

India demands the reinvestigation of all performing animals registered with

the Animal Welfare Board of India under section 38 of the Prevention of

Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 because in Jaipur FIR was lodged against so

called owner of the animal and that might be registered with the AWBI with

fake documents.

Today Rani Elephant react against abused during cruel ride in Amber Forte,

Jaipur and the same was killed by the state wildlife officials, so called

owners and masters of this elephant, promoter and supporters of this cruel

practice as well with overdose of medicine and cruel / ill treatment. The

International Organization for Animal Protection - OIPA in India asked DGP

of Rajasthan for direction to the concerned Police officers to book all of

them under section 428 - 429 IPC read with the Wild Life Protection Act,

1972 and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 under intimation to

OIPA in India. *
