Dear All ,

Last week was spent looking into a matter of concern for me and

other like minded people. My goal, and it can be said the same

philosophy applies to our zoo, is always working towards the wellbeing of the

animals. I received a call about a wildlife organisation that has been doing

great work on a shoe-string budget and needed some help with developing the

project to the next stage. They are a small wildlife organisation that is

passionate in rescuing and rehabilitating another of Australia's animal icons,

the Southern Nosed Hairy Wombat. The directors originally formed an affiliation

through Australia Zoo in Queensland but moved (lock stock and barrel) to South

Australia with a sick SHN Wombat to meet a specialist as well as allowing the

ailing animal to recover in the best natural environment (that's what you call

dedication). They need a hand in pushing forward with the establishment of a

dedicated rescue and rehabilitation centre for the Wombats. Attached is a media

release that I'm sending out, to get the message to the public to help their

cause. They are already working with the Department of Environment and Health,

RSPCA and Bob Irvin Wildlife Foundation. Would appreciate it if you could

further circulate this to your network and really make the message known. Any

help would please deeply appreciated.

Kindest Regards
