Nikode, a farm labourer, fought and captured a young tiger almost singlehandedly after a struggle that lasted about an hour at his home at Sukhwasi in Chandrapur district. While the weak beast, a one-and-a-half to 2-year-old female, was caged and is being treated, Nikode is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Forest officials say the adolescent tiger may have got separated from its mother, for whom a massive hunt has been launched.
