Guest guest
Hi All, En route to the summit at Nelliyampathy (Palakkad District, Kerala), there are various view-points, with kiosks for tourists to stop by and click pictures. Invariably the tourists also see this as a break from the drive and stop to eat and drink. All the papers and covers are just thrown off from the kiosks into the valley making it a dump yard. Its a shame that people can even think of dirtying a place as serene and beautiful as that. On that part of the authorities a simple dustbin in that kiosk would have made a world of a difference. An old drum would also suffice. This issue is not just limited to this eco tourist spot but a lot of others. If anyone knows who needs to be contacted and if you have the contact details, I would like to pursue this. For this particular spot I am thinking of carrying a drum up myself and leaving it there. Thanks, Pablo.
