'Snake Manu' arrested in Delhi:: This is ERN achievement !!!!

You must be aware of 'Snake Manu' who appeared in show 'Entertainment ke

liye Kuch be Karega' aired on SONY TV recently. Mr. Suresh kumar found

his website & circulated this details one of the google group. I

immediately forwarded the mail to manoj oswal from People For Animals &

also a PAWS staunch supporter. After receiving a mail from me Manoj

made a trap for almost 1 month & carried out sting operation. Finally

this person arrested while trading with crocodiles & snakes which is

illegal. Below is the mail from Jose of WTI.

Hope all of you remember Snake Manu and his website !

 

He was arrested from Nizamuddin Railway station by Delhi police Crime

Branch and WCCB, assisted by PFA- Delhi

 

Snake Manu and a friend of him is under Judicial Custody for smuggling

mugger crocodile babies ( schedule-I, = non bailable offense under WPA )

and snakes( cobra- sch-II- Part-ii) from Chennai to Delhi by train. Mr.

manoj Oswal, a friend of Nilesh, PAWS deserve a big hand for organizing

the whole thing. Suresh kumar from Bangalore is the person who got the

information and the ERN group once again proved that we do things beyond

our digital discussions.

 

Just to tell you how things happened!

 

K N Suresh Kumar ( one of our ERN member from BLR) came across

Snakemanu's website and sent a mail to me. I posted it in ERN, a small

discussion started. Nilesh- PAWS forwarded the message to Manoj Oswal

an AWBI member and associated with PFA. Manoj done some Grey cell

exercises and set up the fielding and the snake-man simply walked in to

the trap at Delhi !!!!. This was an excellent one from enforcement point

of view . We need to fight wildlife crimes like... not in a hurry,

plan, plan.. setup the troop ..... lay the trap and snap!.

 

WTI will do the necessary legal follow up to ensure that the snake man

will spend few more days to enjoy the Delhi winter and hope our

judicial system will award a suitable reward for all the snake sins he
