Guest guest
Dear Nilesh, Don't get me wrong, but if the cow should be made the national animal, what should we do to the tiger that currently occupies that place? A person from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad sent me a message recently regarding this and sought my friendship on Orkut. I asked him the same question and told him that I am an atheist/non believer/sinner and requested him to expand his reason for seeking friendship with me. He never reverted. I know this cow worship argument well, for my grandpa was one of the founders of the Hindu Mahasabha, the precursor of the BJP, the self appointed flag bearers of 'Hindutva'. I can sign a campaign for the welfare of Indian cows, but I cannot sign a campaign to make the cow the national animal of India. There is a difference between animal welfare and religious fanaticism. Sorry. Best wishes, On 11/21/09, NileshBhanage <NileshBhanage wrote: > > > > Signature Campaign for the welfare of Indian Cows > > A proposal to The Honourable President of India will be submitted in > January, 2010 > > Fill the details to participate in the Signature Campaign > > > > http://eng.gougram.org/signature-campaign-for-the-welfare-of-indian-cows > / > > > http://eng.gougram.org/ > > > Therefore our request to The President is... > 1. Guest guest
It is these shit concepts like national animal, holy animal etc which have managed to make more of selfstyled human HEROES in the society than do any good for the animals. Come to Northeast India and I vow to show you the HOLY COWS that are being pushed through into Bangladesh. Most of these cattle comes from states which have banned cow cattle slaughter. Bloody politics over animals should end.
