Hi my name is Tamara Bassett.

 I am a student taking a  National Diploma in Animal Management and Care at

Leeds City College, Horsforth campus, in West Yorkshire in the United

Kingdom. For one of my project I have to do a portfolio (project)on a chosen

animal topic. My chosen project is how the human impact is preventing and

affecting the decreasing population of tigers in the wild. For part of my

project I have to collect relevant information from different sources to

build within my portfolio.

 

I would be extremely grateful if you would be so kind to complete a

questionnaire, which I have attached. I would also be extremely grateful if

you were able to provide /send me any information that you feel is

appropriate regarding tigers, especially about their habitats, the breeding

and any cruelty issues which have brought to your attention whilst working

with tigers within your working career. I firmly believe that the more we

are able to educate the general public about the tigers which are declining

then the more help and possible reduction of the tiger population may

occur!!!

1. How much do you believe that you have impact on the wild tigers been

slaughtered for meat and bones for medicines?

 

 

2. Are there occasions when you have excess tigers to accommodate in their

enclosures? If so what do you do?

 

 

3. Is it your intention to send all your tigers back into the wild? Is this

possible everytime?

 

 

4. What and how do feel you contribute to stop/reduce the decreasing populations

of the wild tiger?

 

 

5. How many of the tigers have been neglected and needed immediate medical

attention? What role did you take place in?

 

6. Where have your tigers originally come from?

 

 

7. Are you/ what projects are you carrying out regarding the breeding of the

tiger at the moment?

 

 

8. What is the procedure for the breeding plan? Do have both the male and female

already within your sanctuary/conservation?

 

 

9. Have you received /taken into care any inbred tigers that you are aware of?

 

10. If you were aware, how would you try to help the inbred tiger/s? e.g If the

tiger is deformed or has genetically abnormalities?

 

 

11.Do you work with other organisations regarding breeding, rehabilitation of

the tigers ?

 

 

12. Do you contribute to or aid organisations working to eradicate the

slaughter of tigers in the wild for meat, bones and skins?

 

 

13. Do any of your profits go towards helping the wild population i.e aid,

fundraising and projects?

 

 

14.What measures do you take to recreate a natural habitat for your

tigers in sanctuary/conservation?

 

 

15.How often do you receive new tigers caught in the wild?
