Respected HE the President of India,

Kindly refer to the media reports about male Elephant dangerous act in

Meerut and no action has been taken against so called owner of the Elephant

along with the promoter of crime BSP leader.

I have lodged complaint online but I am afraid that due to BSP in power,

concerned authorities hesitate to take legal actions against these

offenders, hence it is requested to look in to.

Complaint lodged as under :-

Kindly refer to the abused Elephants activities in Meerut from the last many

hours and this male angry Elephants out of control, destroying public

property, dangerous for every one, including himself.

As per information gathered by the International Organisation for Animal

Protection - OIPA in India, this male Elephants was brought to Meerut to

take part in a function of ruling party BSP leader's daughter marriage but

due to ill treatment, crowd, crackers sound..this Elephant became angry,

harmful for every one.

As per Indian Panel Code section 289 :- Negligent conduct with respect to

animal -

" Whoever knowingly or negligently omits to take such order with any animal

in his possession as is sufficient to guard against any probable danger to

human life, or any probable danger of grievous hurt from such animal, shall

be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may

extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees,

or with both. "

Where as Elephants is a scheduled one protected animal as per the Wild Life

Protection Act, 1972 and no one can use this animal for personnel gain /

profit / pride / tool of publicity but it was misused for pride and

personnel gain / profit and animal was ill treated.

Hence OIPA in India requesting you to direct the concerned Police officials

to lodge an FIR against so called owner of this Elephant along with the

promoter of this crime BSP leader, co-accused in this crime for the

violation of the Central Zoo Authority guidelines, Wild Life Protection Act,

1972, the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 read with the Indian

Panel Codes different sections and animal be rescued after canceling

ownership.
